I’m Andrew. I’m 27 and grew up in New Jersey, US, but I’ve been living abroad for the past 9 years. I'm back in the US now planning a move to New York City soon.
In my free time I love cooking, hanging out with friends, going out and dancing, traveling and learning languages, and playing music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From June to September 2024 I backpacked through the north and northeast of Brazil. It was my dream trip and among the amazing things I got to see, taste, and experience for the first time was Couchsurfing.

I had 4 amazing CS experiences across Brazil and Uruguay, and I'm a total convert. I made amazing friends, practiced Portuguese and Spanish, and explored some wonderful cities through an authentic lens.

I want to use CS now to make new friends in NYC (couchsurfers tend to be very cool, generous, open people!). I would love to pay their generosity forward by hosting one day when I have an appropriate place, but at the moment unfortunately I can't host.

Any Brazilians in New York looking to exchange Portuguese for English??
