About Me

Hi! I recently graduated college and am looking to explore Europe for the summer. I'm an open-minded and respectful guy who is interested in learning as much as I can about other cultures while traveling abroad. I have a passion for writing (especially poetry) and will be creating a blog to submit to my school for publication. I love to be around others and make people laugh, especially after a few drinks. Getting along with people has always come naturally to me so I can vibe with pretty much anyone. I'm excited for the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends along my journey, and hopefully, you'll be one of them!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing for the people. I feel like if you're the type of person to open your home to others then you've got to be an outgoing, kind, and interesting individual. I'm looking to meet others who are willing to share their story and culture in a free-spirited sort of way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate all Music genres but my favorite would have to be Classic Rock. Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Journey, and Jimmy Buffet are some of my favorite artists. As for new music, I'm a fan of Don Diablo, Calvin Harris, Diplo, Kanye, AER, Logic, Halsey, Dua Lipa, Kendrick, and Jay-Z. I recently went to EDC Las Vegas so I guess you could say I'm a big EDM guy. I also have an interest in classical music, specifically Chopin and Mozart. I'm amazed by the piano and hope to learn to play before I'm out of my 20's. My favorite movies are all made by Quentin Tarantino. I'm big into World War II history so I watch and read a lot of movies and books on that subject. I've seen the entire Game of Thrones series about six times (if not more) and I'm definitely team Danny. Reading for pleasure has taken a back seat in my life due to my school work, but I look forward to getting back into it as soon as possible. I know way too much about Macroeconomics and SAS so if that interests you at all we can talk for hours about policies and their effects on the world. I'm kind of a nerd, but I have my fair share of fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I had to pick one thing that I've done that I'm most proud of it would be when I spent two weeks in Nicaragua helping Orphans and digging fresh water lines so they could have clean water. That experience taught me so much about life and where true happiness comes from. I will never forget the little ninos and there love for life, no matter what their circumstances were. I've done a lot of interesting things all over the world, but that orphanage helped me grow personally in a way that still amazes me to this day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a conversationalist and would love to share my story with anyone who's willing to hear it. I just hope to hear yours in return so that I can come to appreciate others in ways I normally wouldn't get to. I graduated with a degree in financial economics so I'm always up to talk about trade, regulations, markets, and stocks. I started investing in Bitcoin back in 2011, so cryptocurrency has been a hobby of mine for about seven years now. I'm also a big sports guy so if you're passionate about a certain team I'd love to talk about them and how their season is going. Honestly, I'm looking to absorb as much as possible while traveling so if you're looking to spread some knowledge I'm ready to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think my mind is the most valuable thing I can share with hosts. I like to think I'm funny so hopefully I can share some jokes and some laughs with you as well. I'd also love to share a beer or some good wine with hosts (first rounds on me!) and if all goes well, maybe we can share a lasting friendship. If not, no big deal. I promise that our time together will be a good story at the least.
