About Me

I just want to farm all over the world. Big farms, small ones, messy ones - all and any of them.

Recently toured the Hawaiian islands for 5 months WOOFing, hiking, and general island 'cruzin'. Followed this amazing experience with a cross-country foodie tour of the United States working alongside an amazing and crafty group of food enthusiast, farmers, and hospitality experts.

But I found that all I want to do is farm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The opportunity to meet individuals who reflect the character of a community far better than a Ramada or Hilton. I seek those encounters with those willing to share their experiences of places I know well or just may be discovering.

Interests

Three years of commercial organic agricultural farming and a keen interest in food culture. I explore when and where possible, always looking for niche eateries or spots to sit, munch, and watch the clouds.

Avid cyclist, kayaker, and hiker and fairly competent in the kitchen.

I enjoy carpentry (have built a tiny house), restoration (old, not so tiny houses), cuisine of all kinds, and long hikes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Mauna Loa with a good friend of mine, fighting the ill effects of altitude sickness all the way up. We made it - just.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Advanced agricultural and reasonably cool cooking knowledge. I've commandeered the kitchen at several hosts already - planning and preparing delicious meals is a favorite of mine and a sure way to show my appreciation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In
