Overview
About Me
I recently graduated from university and currently traveling solo for the next year in Korea and India. I've lived in Boston my whole life but have always found ways to leave the country for one reason or another.
I like nothing more than a good conversation or making a new friend, but if I'm left alone with a book or the chance to wander a new place, I almost never get tired of my own company. I tend to be reserved when I first meet people, but when I'm comfortable, I get silly and sarcastic and warm. For better or for worse, I think a lot about life and how to be living it, about my relationships with people, about embarrassing things I did in middle school. I'm one of the more flexible people I know. I often ask a lot of questions about people, and I usually find it easier to listen than to talk about myself. It's always been a mystery to me how I can be so consistently sleepy during the day and then energetic in the nights.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going to be living a pretty itinerant life for the year that I'm in India, and I would really like to connect with people through the couchsurfing crowd. I've heard from friends about how the mutually given generosity of this community works wonders. I won't be able to host until I'm back in Boston, but I hope to be able to give a bit back soon.
Interests
I honestly think people are by far the most interesting thing there is. It's part of why I love stories. If I find a high window overlooking a street, I could stay there for an afternoon just surveying the passersby and admiring how a particular gait or dress can make them someone seem elegant or strange or kind.
I'm always looking for things I've never experienced before. I enjoy challenges of all kinds, to the point where I'll find ways to impose them on myself. Things that will stretch me in some way.
A lot of what I think about in a day centers on how I'm going to eat something delicious. I think I get an abnormal amount of satisfaction out of food.
