Currently, a college student in NYC- in the past, I managed and worked on several farms across the US.

My life is full of contrasts--

-farming and wilderness; I love being in nature; working with my hands, sleeping outside, hiking, running, swimming, kayaking--- foraging and frolicking... I love adventure; going to the strange gritty places.

-academic student life in NYC; I am an urban studies major, focused on topics of urban resilience. Academic interests of mine include environmental journalism, photo journalism, illustration/ visual narrative

Once, I hitch hiked from Pennsylvania to Texas? Maybe- the thing that comes to mind.. I lived in a one room traditional wood cabin, complete with a wood-stove in the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania.

Shared cooking... dancing.. joy, laughter, stories; I enjoy cooking, dining, and playing music with new people. Otherwise, laughter and stories shared with others is great; I enjoy meeting those from other walks of life- and, learning from them. I am on here to be able to travel affordably and meet some interesting people while I am at it.

-Quiet, methodical creature... I consider my self a good guest! And, have a love of communal living situations...
