About Me

I am an American exchange student studying in Copenhagen, Denmark. Having a blast learning about Danish culture. I haven't really travel much, so that is something I am trying to change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I don't travel much! This means I want to hear about other peoples experiences and see what I can learn.

Interests

My interests mainly concern movies and following the global finance markets. A very odd juxtaposition I know. But I suppose a unifying theme is the story.

Movies let me travel into the a different world and the narrative will just grasp me and spin me around. This is especially effective because I am a visual learner. In addition, when I understand more about what the director and his/her crew did, I am simply blown away. They created this world with their very own hands. A world that has captured me.

Oh yeah, also NBA. Big Basketball fan.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have any particular favorite music, really depends on the season and my mood. But I will say that I dabble in a wide range, which spans from Classical to Rap.

Oh boy movies is tough. So many have made an impression on me. But if push comes to shove, my top 3 is likely The Master, Dancer in the Dark, and Chunking Express.

One of my regrets is not reading more when I was growing up. However, I am trying to change that by reading some of the classics. I have recently finished Franz Kafka's The Trial, and am working on Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald. And although I said I didn't read much, I will note that I was a religious Harry Potter fan growing up, so that I did read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ha, this is such a pretentious question. We are all going to have different definitions of amazing. But something I will say I am proud of(but also somewhat ashamed of) was when I watched a movie everyday for a two month period. That's some serious couch potato status, but I got to admit it took some stamina. By undergoing that ordeal, my love for film only strengthened.
