About Me

Hey!

I'm a down-to-earth/openminded guy that loves music, nature, food, laughing and good company. I enjoy hearing other peoples stories and perspectives. I was born and raised in the suburbs just north of San Deigo. At 12 my family I moved to the tundras of Upstate New York. We resided in the little town of Burnt Hills, just south of Saratoga. This is where I spent my high school years. Then I went to college in Syracuse, NY at the school of "Environmental Science and Forestry” where I got my B.S. in Environmental Biology. Experiencing fatigue from studying and from the cold I decided to move to Austin, TX to pursue music. After a many trials and tribulations I am now a full time working musician. I play/teach guitar and sing for a living. I work through a company in Austin called "Westlake Lessons" Most of my students are children between the ages of 6 and 10. It's a challenging/rewarding job!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m about to embark on a road trip from Austin, TX to Saratoga NY. It would be great to get to know some locals while traveling! Also, when I toured with my band we used couchsurfing and met some incredible people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be glad give a few guitar lessons if your interested. I think one of my favorite settings in around a campfire where people are sharing stories, ideas and music. I’ll be traveling around this country as a troubadour. So if you want some musical entertainment for the night I would be happy to provide. I really love talking about music, nature, science, culture, philosophy…... I enjoy hearing other peoples tips, opinions and perspectives, especially from the locals. Any information on good places to perform, eat or camp/lodge are always helpful.

What I Can Share with Hosts
