About Me
I take a lot of pride in the traveling I've done , but right now I'm trying to learn the benefits of staying still awhile. If I'm not at work, or the gym, I'm contemplating what the hell I'm doing with my life.
I really enjoy the outdoors: it's free, it's gorgeous, and you never know what you're going to get. I'm always down for a good hike, swim, bike, or run. I also like camping, kayaking, yoga, gardening, and cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that hospitality is a skill we each have, but is often ignored and not cultivated. Remaining kind and open to others is a great way to learn, and we should never stop learning. Meeting others on Couchsurfing has been one of the most rewarding experiences. It has given me a greater sense of community, one that is larger, global and beyond myself. It warms me to know that I get to be apart of other's journeys as they discover and learn. It also excites me that I can do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite TV show, hands down, has to be The Leftovers. Another fave is High Maintenance. My feel-good show is Will & Grace.
My taste in music ranges widely and I appreciate just about every genre from campy pop to death metal. Still struggling to enjoy showtunes. Artists I love include Robyn, Cut Copy, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, LCD Soundsystem, Dua Lipa, and Death Grips.
Picking a favorite movie is difficult and always changing. If I could only bring one film to a deserted island it would be The Matrix. Some of my favorite directors include Agnes Varda, David Lynch, and Gregg Araki.
Books I will always cherish are The Little Prince, Just Kids, and The Fire Next Time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Zip-lining from tree house to tree house deep in the jungle of Northern Laos.
If there's one thing I've learned through travel so far, it is the importance of hospitality and good company. My greatest memories are those I shared with others.
Teach, Learn, Share
The most rewarding lesson I have learned from traveling is to simply be kind and to listen.
