I grew up in the rural South as a son of two Californians. I enjoy live music (been into Sylvan Esso and The Range lately), watching independent films/documentaries with friends, traveling, being outside, coffee, beer culture, memoir and fiction, LGBT activism, environmental ethics, and a lot more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As technology advances, I think people have grown more accustomed and comfortable with sharing their lives with each other online and yet maintaining a sort of distance in the real world. I think couchsurfing is an excellent opportunity to bring back hospitality, and more importantly, to redefine what it means to be a stranger. This is an excellent opportunity to meet people you would never have otherwise and get a glimpse into each other's lives in a meaningful way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to see The Temper Trap in Paris while visiting my au-pair sister. Was an incredible moment I'll treasure forever.
