Overview
About Me
ex-Indonesian, currently Singaporean. I've just finished serving 2 years of military service known as National Service (only admin though haha) and will be studying Computer Science in the National University of Singapore.
I've been obsessing about visiting Japan again ever since my first trip 2 years ago, and definitely throughout the 2 years in the army. Now about to make my dreams come true (and so soon!) to celebrate finishing National Service!
I'd consider myself a foodie if I were rich enough to actually afford all the food I've researched but I still spend practically all my loose money on new foods. In Singapore we have a system called hawker centres where you can eat a lot of street food for really cheap all in one spot and they are way too addicting! I also enjoy cooking when I can but sadly can't really find the time to do it too often.
I can but don't really drink alcohol, but I like to drink a lot of tea and coffee! My favourite tea is an Oolong blend from Singapore called "unknown fragrance" and my favourite coffee shop is Nylon Coffee Roasters (Do check it out if you ever come to Singapore!)
Non-food-wise, I enjoy programming, gaming, watching anime, skateboarding(badly) and learning electric guitar.
Also learning Japanese (to read manga untranslated haha) and planning to learn Spanish for my next trip after Japan hopefully to Barcelona.
Unfortunately can't host anyone since I'm still staying at my parents' place but would look to do so in the distant future once I get my own pod
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet and listen to stories from adventurous people around the globe, and to share my various experiences living in Singapore to all who are keen to listen. I find that people from CS are a lot more fun to talk to since a lot of the people here are more interesting, adventurous and outgoing, especially compared to many people here in Singapore :/
