Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been travelling for the last 2 years staying in (mostly) hostels. I feel it's about time I finally try out couch surfing! Couch surfing seems like a great way to meet new/local people and experience a piece of the local culture more intimately! Having access to proper facilities is always a plus as well :)
Interests
Hiking, new/craft beer, sports (playing or watching), books, music (preferably live), technology, local food, local culture
Surf, throw a frisbee around in a park, kick a soccer ball around on a beach, hike a mountain.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I love to read when I have down time and am game to try out any recommendations I get! Past favorites include: The Dark Tower series, The Martian, Game of Thrones, Enders Game, Freakonomics, Vorkosigan Saga, Haruki Murikami (author).
Current read: "The Dark Tower series" by Stephen King
Music: anything that isn't country or very heavy metal ("screamo").
Movies: Avengers, Shawshank, How to Train your Dragon, Guardians of the Galaxy, Forest Gump, Star Wars, Cloud Atlas, the A Team, etc. Anything not horror and not the Notebook.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to choose from, I'll have to narrow this down later!
Sailed a catamaran off the coast of Aruba, drove a boat in the Mediterranean, read a book in a ruined fort overlooking Sarajevo, saw the sunrise from the top of a mountain, saw the sunset over a giant sand blow...so much more.
