PHILOSOPHY

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin

Today is a good day for my ego to die.

Our lives are not our own.

I believe in the good things coming!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Cádiz with hosts Chloe and Eliot, amazing individuals with so much positive energy, so much generosity, and a desire to see the world! They really opened my eyes to what a couchsurfing experience is like, and I am forever grateful!

My second couchsurfing experience was in Coimbra, Portugal, with Joel, who was an incredible host and one of the most generous, helpful people I've ever met. He opened his home and his life to me, and I am eternally grateful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my life goals is to travel as meaningfully as possible. Meaningful travel means more than just crossing off places on a bucketlist. Meaningful travel comes from sharing conversations, perspectives, and a piece of ourselves with the people we meet along the way. It's important to both share and listen intently, and Couchsurfing is the perfect way to meet people to have these life-changing conversations.

Also, I believe that people are fundamentally good and that they want to be and do good. A part of this being and doing good is generosity, and I think sharing makes people feel good. At least it makes me feel good! The combination of opening a home to strangers and sharing conversations with them is so incredible, and there's so much to be learned if we travel in this way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm open to learning anything and everything. I love great conversations that last hours without even realizing it. As I make a point of traveling as minimally as possible, I suppose the greatest thing I can share is conversation and a unique perspective on the world!
