About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cycling from London to India, currently 5000km down in the middle of Turkey.

ABOUT ME

I’ve been in love with all things cycling for around four years now, and have a healthy obsession for all adventures on or off the bike. Like to dabble in photography and I’m an avid new music fan. I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012 and have spent the past 18 months living and volunteering for a Christian charity called NetWorks in Romania. Last summer before moving to Romania I cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats; 10 days, 1008 miles, 3 friends and numerous torrential downpours. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy hitch hiking adventures, wild camping, watching Bradley Wiggins win in Paris and sliding down an ice covered street holding onto the back of a VW Transporter van. But the most interesting experience in the last year has to have come from working in a Roma gypsy community, if nothing else it has highlighted how privileged my life has been to date.

PHILOSOPHY

Any combination of the above will make me very happy; honesty, integrity and helping people are massive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like team work, people pulling together to achieve a common aim.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wasn't really a couch as such but in Italy last year, sitting in a restaurant with nowhere to go for the evening and watching a big storm roll in we were offered shelter under the shed that the waiter had on his allotment. We gratefully accepted and spent much of the night propped up and the back of the shelter in sleeping bags as the lightning lit up the mountains in front of us.

Interests

Cycling, running, football, sleeping out under the stars, adventure, coffee, tea, good music, friends.
