About Me

ABOUT ME

I see myself as quirky, outgoing, and friendly. I'm definitely a bit nerdy too (I studied math in college), but I'm proud of it! I think most of my friends would say that I have a very resilient personality - you'll almost never catch me in a bad mood.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others how you'd like to be treated. Don't take life too seriously!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just graduated college and am spending the next couple months traveling around. So sadly, I have no couch to offer at the moment, but I'm looking forward to getting one soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at the moment... but my friend's have had such good experiances with it, I'd figure I'd give it a try!

Interests

I love meeting new people, and I rarely meet someone I can't get along with. I love to sail, play basketball, hike, and read. The things that have made my life most worthwhile have all involved pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. Camping in sub-zero temperatures, sailing in ice-cold water, going to a 48-hour dessert party, taking mind-blowing math classes, these are the things I love. Right now I help run a sailing summer program for juniors, which I love!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music, but recently I've been into the Alabama Shakes, and the Zac Brown Band, surprisingly. I never thought I would like a country band, but after listening to them for a while, I've realized, how could you not love them? All they do is sing about the best things ever (drinking beer, hanging out outside, loving people, ect!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving into Yosemite Valley for the first time was breathtaking. I was in total disbelief. The whole valley is surrounded by 3000 feet cliffs and waterfalls. The scale of it made me feel so miniscule. If you ever get the chance, you have to go there! Also, seeing Michelangelo's David in Florence was an experience - I felt like it was about to start moving at any moment.
