PHILOSOPHY

I tend to be the optimist, always looking for the good in people. I tend to go along to get along and am very flexible and easy to get along with. I'm fairly neat and organized. I can do things on my own if no one is around but am always happy to do things with others if they are interested.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking for places to stay when I get the chance to travel across the country or the world and meet new people who love learning and love exploring. Or anyone who just would be willing to host a laid back easy to get along with person.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I'm hoping to get some soon. I have known a few people who use couchsurfing but haven't tried it out yet.

Interessi

Hiking and just being in all sorts of nature areas; biking; running; reading, especially mixtures of science/philosophy/history; playing card and board games (always ready to learn new ones), just going out and seeing new things.

Musica, film e libri

Music - a wide range - anything that jives with me or gets my blood pumping. Classic and current rock most of the time, but also jazz and classical if I'm in the right mood.

Movies - too long of a list to count, but I love science fiction and action. Horror can also be good as well. James Bond, especially the classics with Sean Connery and Roger Moore. Woody Allen films. Almost all Pixar movies. Pulp Fiction, etc, the list can go on.

Books - I tend towards a lot of non-fiction right now, but if I find a novel that suits my fancy, I can get into it. Sandman, Good Omens, Harry Potter, Golden Compass, Crime and Punishment, the Enders Series, America: The Book, The Great Gatsby, A Short History of Nearly Everything, Hamlet, most things by Kurt Vonnegut, Philip K. Dick short stories and what not, probably many others.

Road trip across the country after graduating college in 2011. Seeing the Rocky Mountains for the first time as I was driving down I-90 in Montana. The rolling green hills combined with the icy peaks in the background was truly a sight to see.

When I first went into the Old City and saw the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

My expertise tend towards the sciences - physics, chemistry, etc. I tend to also be a political wonk/junkie from time to time. And can find odd intersections of physics and philosophy. Basically, if you want to learn about random cool tidbits on things.
