ABOUT ME

I am an only child raised in a military family (father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and graduate of West Point). Father has remarried and lives in Cincinnati Ohio after we lost my mother to cancer. She was a flight attendant with United. I lived in the suburbs of Chicago for the most of the many places we moved to (7 years) and moved to Arizona to go to Arizona State University. I lived in Arizona for 15 years before moving to Houston, Texas in February of 2012. I was in the club and service industry for 4 years after graduating college and then in real estate/investing for 10 years after. Moving to Texas was a leap of faith for change in my life and industries...Been quite an adjustment but like we say in our company "No pressure, No diamonds"

I am a "give-giver" in many instances but deep down a "give-taker." An "ENTF" by Meyers Briggs definition, a "Virgo" by birthdate, an "Organizer" by CORE's definition, and an "Infuencer" by DISC's definitions.

PHILOSOPHY

Very simple. I trust first....based on what I like to think by being able to determine one's character.

There are always new things to learn and I like trying or entertaining things that I am not aware of but others are passionate about.

I can dish it out (sarcastic humor) and hope to receive it back without any hurt feelings....Witty and kind of a nerd.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie. I have yet to surf on another's couch and look forward to hosting and surfing. Meet new people and if my schedule is not on course based on staying longer at a location then having a back up from paying last minute hotel or AirBnB is ideal. I like people and new people are always fascinating to hear their story!

Have done SCUBA diving in many different countries. Have sky "dived" but I think in many instances this is pretty plain for things done and have a HUGE bucket list for items I want to do before the end of my life.

I teach English as a Second Language (ESL)
I like to learn about all cultures and learn their language, too....particularly Russian and Ukrainian.
I like ALL people and prefer intellectuals who can hold interesting conversations and debates about all interests.

I am an only child and have lived all over the country. Having owned four homes, I have rented the extra rooms to well over 50 people. I am very extroverted, open to answering ANY questions about my life, and always like to give sound advice plus help people achieve their goals!
