About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn from those far more knowledgeable than myself.

ABOUT ME

I have had the opportunity to live around the country and most recently in Raliegh, NC. I enjoy traveling to different parts of the world and experiencing various cultures. Because I have lived in several places across the US I have been able to make friends from all walks of life and several different American cultures.

I am a football (soccer) coach in Raleigh for a local university and coach a couple of youth teams for a local club.

PHILOSOPHY

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host, surf, get coffee...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Chicago and have met several other surfers while I was there while attending a few of the events put on the weekend I was there. I have also been able to meet a few surfers in Raleigh when my roommate hosted them. Its been a great experience so far, and I look forward to becoming more active in CS in the coming months.

Interests

Football! Not American, but the real one. Playing, watching, or coaching are all thing I enjoy doing on a regular basis. In the last few years I have endeavored to make myself become a reader and it is slowly taking root in my daily life. I would still prefer to do other things, but I realize that if I cease to read, I cease to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the privelege of watching Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspurs at Old Trafford in 2011 as well as watching Day 2 of the 125th Championships: Wimbledon in 2011. However, the experience that has had a significant impact on my life is playing football in Haiti. Seeing their way of life is extremely humbling and makes me truly understand and appreciate how blessed I am to live in America.

Teach, Learn, Share

Fitness and Strength Training. I have a degree in Exercise Science and am a certified personal trainer, so if you need tips about how to train properly (not just workout till you get sore/hurt) feel free to ask. I have played soccer in college and while I was not talented enough to make a career out of it, my understanding of the game excels my ability. So if you need some coaching or traing tips, let me know.
