Overview
About Me
I am a writer and artist living in Berlin, originally from New York, wandering slowly through the world and stumbling upon something like life experience. I've backpacked a bit, moved a few times, had a short stint in the Peace Corps in Senegal in urban agriculture, and worked at an urban winery and music venue and at a craft gin distillery in New York, all while writing stories and music and again, more wandering. Somehow I also have a degree in architecture. And there's nothing I love more than to cook, so hopefully we can do that together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived for a number of weeks with a traditional Senegalese family of 23 in a village where I was one of a minuscule handful of foreigners, cooking and eating every meal, working at a local garden, and speaking Pulaar.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to cook and mix drinks, how to tend to goats and gardens, how to play a number of instruments and sing, and have a wealth of fun facts about utterly impractical subjects.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Love, or at least chocolate, which is the same thing.
