About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Adventure, finding my girlfriend currently in Berlin
ABOUT ME
I have been working various jobs for the years since I graduated from school and I am now hoping to experience adventure on my own terms (or the terms of those I meet along the way!) for as long as possible. I love reading and writing books and listening to and singing songs, and hope to dedicate my life words and songs and sharing them with people.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in peaceful inquiry, understanding with understanding, being present in situations but being there to learn from them, not to mold them into my expectations of them. I live to experience as much positivity through people and places as possible, hopefully leaving the world more positive than I found it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to host visitors to Monterey for the next month and then meet wonderful hosts when I set off in October!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Two good friends of mine told me great stories about their couchsurfing experiences, but I always elected to visit friends I already knew. In December 2008 when I lived in Portland, I hosted a young man from Germany who couchsurfed with my friend in Madison, Wisconsin, and had a wonderful experience getting to know him and showing him around. I should have taken that opportunity to join, but I was too wrapped up in other things.....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did: travelled for 3 weeks from Monterey to Seattle and back playing bocce every day. Saw: I climbed to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun and saw Teotihuacán from above.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love Bocce, an ancient Italian sport. I play guitar, ukulele, piano, drums and love to share musical knowledge. I love poetry and literature and love to compare favorite books and poems, and especially those of California.
