One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While in Huacachina Peru I befriended two local artists who lived out of their 1963 VW van. We talked all day and they invited my brother, my travel companion at the time, into their van for some coffee and herb. They went on to tell us that they had never had guests in two years of travel. You could sense their happiness by their genuine speech and kind actions. After we hung out and discussed life in South America for a while they took us into the sand dunes and showed us a beautiful spot of pure darkness. What followed was the most memorable night of star gazing I have ever had. I will never forget the lively meteor shower than ensued across the brilliant nights sky.
