About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I wanna go everywhere and do everything until I'm sure I wanna be in one place doing one thing.
ABOUT ME
I joined Couchsurfing when I was studying abroad in Madrid, but then I left and sort of forgot about it. Now I've graduated and I'm finally stating to travel around and do the things I wanna be doing, and I wanna get into it. I like going out--to bars, lakes, libraries, mountains, forests, museums, deserts, back alleys, whatever. Meeting foreigners (or being one) is also fantastic, and speaking Spanish to dogs is a lot more fun than I had anticipated. I like living cheap, and I like discovering places with my own two feet, not from a tour bus. And I'm pretty into snowboarding, along with a lot of outdoor stuff (especially hiking and climbing). Good enough? Good.
PHILOSOPHY
I just want to live what I love, and right now my life is dedicated to finding out the best way to do that without being broke all the time. If only snowboard season lasted forever. . .
Other than that, I just do my best to not be a dick and surround myself with people who do the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't, yet. We met a couple girls on the metro in Madrid who had some really cool things to say about the program, and it seemed like something cool to check out. Fast forward 2 years and I'm trying to finally participate and get involved.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None, yet!
Interests
I like things/people that get me off my ass, because I sometimes have a bit too much inertia. I love snowboarding and being outside, especially in the summer, and I'm trying to get more involved in rock climbing. And I love live music, especially if I can dance, jump or push people while it's happening. I grew up with a woman who ran a boxer (the dog) rescue program and always had at least 5 dogs living with her, so I am a total sucker for dogs. I love all animals though. Even fish! Well, sort of fish. I grew up in Colorado (lots of mountains, non-americans), so I've always had a thing for the outdoors. A sunrise from the top of a mountain is a glorious thing, and adding in a homebrew makes it downright transcendent.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big supporter of all three.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bottle fed a baby kangaroo once. Alright, maybe that's not "amazing", but I enjoyed it, damnit.
I learned to scuba dive in the great barrier reef.
I found a hidden path in Parque Guell that led to a deserted hilltop with an amazing panorama of the whole city.
I discovered the joy of Salsa dancing in Madrid.
I saw a flaming meteor strike the ocean off of California's lost coast at 2 in the afternoon (but no one believed me).
And, you know, other stuff.
