About Me

CURRENT MISSION

spreading the love, one loaf of bread at a time

ABOUT ME

I'm from cape town, south Africa. I am currently staying in Lyon until December to complete a stage at a MOF bakery while at the same time observing the differences in teaching methods and techniques at the institute paul bocuse in ecully.

I have a background in fine dining cuisine and after about 2 years decided to move into baking and there I found my passion for it and I have enjoyed every day of the last 5 years doing so.

PHILOSOPHY

Laborare Est Orare

"labour is prayer", 14th century phrase originating from monks. it means that you show devotion without having to be physically praying.

I use the phrase to explain how I feel about my profession, which I love a lot. whenever you do something, do it with passion, dedication and sincerity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am unable to host. I am renting a room in Croix rousse from a lady and there is a couch available but I would have to clear any stay with her first.

once I'm back home in cape town I will have a couch available.
