Traveling the world for six months. There comes a time in one's life to journey around this beautiful home of ours. Some countries and people are new to me, and some are homes and old friends to revisit.
I am a shiatsu - Japanese acupressure -therapist, and offer a 90 minute session as part of my exchange.

Born and bred New Zealander, who grew up on a farm on the East Coast of the North Island. (Please see photos, under "home")
Even though I am a lover of cities, and all its intrigue and decadence, one can never stop being a country soul.
I have a propensity towards barefeet, home grown vegetables, and a quieter more rustic lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cause I want to hear about places and people, from the horses mouth!!!
In other words; I hate ticking "seen that" boxes, or reading up all-about-it in a travel guide or history books. I way prefer getting down to the street level, where the everyday, people live and play.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides being alive to write this profile, one of the most amazing things is growing up in one of the most beautiful and idyllic region of New Zealand. Spending my childhood years on the farm, with groovy 70's music, pet lambs, the feelings of the four seasons and a school of 30 children is a blessing.
This world trip has also been a highlight. Three months in the Southern States of America was extraordinary. What a place and what a people. Ireland, you have to love; Shoreditch in London is delicious; Frankfurt with special friends; Crete, to reset the body and soul; and the one and only, Berlin.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can roll my sleaves up...real high. And give Shiatsu treatment. It's one of the most amazing forms of healing. (P.S. If you shy away from massage, cause it's a little bit too up-close-and-personal, please feel comfortable in the knowledge that you will be fully clothed with a sheet over you.)
