About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see everything in the world :)

ABOUT ME

Hellooo!
I'm a student in Birmingham, England;

I'm a really happy, easy-going, positive person who can have a laugh at almost anything. Afterall, life is a constant task of not taking it so seriously, isn't it! I really like meeting new people and learning about how they see life and what they've seen. After all, everyone has something to offer us, in some way.

I'm trying to learn to Sing at the moment so if I meet you we can have a sing song!

I'm really passionate about music and politics and the crazy books and crazy poetry and crazy art. I'd like to be a writer/journalist one day. In the meantime I'm just trying to fill my life with experiences and adventures so I can become really old and wizened and I can tell to people stories in dark bars when I'm really really old! Haha! That'd be cool.

I don't expect that you can describe yourself in a couple of paragraphs but we may someday meet and get to know each other properly. I can't wait :)

PHILOSOPHY

"There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves" -Bill Hicks

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only found out about CouchSurfing from a friend recently, but it seems to be absolutely amazing.

When you travel to a place you can learn about how life is for people there, but it's only when you actually meet real people on the inside that you get to understand how people see the world. My stepmum is Brazillian so I've had the chance to go and live in Sao Paulo for a few months. Learning the language and really meeting the local people taught me that. So I'm really excited about starting my lifelong CouchSurfing adventure!

I can imagine that CouchSurfing could change the world. It's a cliche but the words "global village" come to mind. And how beautiful is that? How many of our species' problems be solved with a bit of communication and understanding. I'm gonna participate by being a part of that!

Interests

Indie movies, poetry, books, art, music, dancing, crazy people, more crazy people, travelling, challenging myself! filmmaking, and a squeeze of philosophy. I can unicycle as well, which is awsome!

Music, Movies, and Books

some Music I like (in no particular order):Janis Joplin, Bon Iver, Florence + the Machine, Rage Against the Machine, The Strokes, CocoRosie, Aesop Rock, Joanna Newsom, Bob Dylan, Cold War Kids. Everything :)

some Books I like: On the Road by Kerouac (must be perfect for couchsurfind.com, Allen Ginsberg, T.S Elliot, ee cummins, Dylan Thomas, Oryx & Crake by Margret Ackwood, Hemmingway, James Joyce, If no-one Speaks of Remarkable things by Jon McGregor and lots of lovely Sci-Fi from Asimov!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I watched a korean preacher with a black suit and black umbrella giving an apocalyptic sermon in a blizzard of rain to a crowd of people sheltered from the rain at a New Jersey train station. That was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to juggle or unicycle! It's great fun. I'm ok at playing harmonica so I could give some tips on that if they'd be useful to anyone.
