About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel, explore, live.

ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Andrew Stygar.

I'm twenty-three years old. I'm a college graduate from the University of Florida where I majored in Microbiology and Cell Science.

I love to travel and meet new people. At the time being, I don't have any major trips planned. The next expedition I'd love to endure, though, is to either, backpack Southeast Asia or bike the Pacific Coast. I do, however, hope to move to Manhattan this upcoming spring, so hopefully that plan pans out.

I'm also currently in the process of enrolling into the United States Peace Corps; I'm hoping to be stationed in Tanzania as Secondary Science Education Preceptor.

PHILOSOPHY

I consider myself an open-minded person with a peaceful and passive persona. I believe that everyone has a purpose in life; furthermore, I feel that we should not settle for mediocrity, nor focus merely on the destination of our pursuit. I for one am enjoying the journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an extremely outgoing individual who is always up for interesting and novel experiences. However, I'd say that my personality is somewhat ambivalent because I also love to kickback and discuss music, philosophy, and life at local coffee shops.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had plenty of awesome encounters via Couchsurfing. This website is a great networking tool that helps connect people from a sundry of nationalities, ethnicities, and backgrounds. I've made several lifelong friends from the experiences I endured stemming from this site; it has made my eurotrip even more so unforgettable.

I'm open to learning whatever people have to teach; almost every experience can be sculpted into a learning experience. I'd like to share and listen to others culture, beliefs, and values.
