About Me

I'm travelling for two months before I start studying in Oxford from October. I lived in the UK when I was at school so have been to lots of European countries with my family but am excited to explore them for myself. I'm starting in London and finishing in Munich for Oktoberfest, but in between have no set plans so am open to advice if you have some!

I studied in Melbourne and went on exchange to Illinois before I finished my undergrad degree in Economics. Since then I've been working in management consulting and recently did an internship at Save The Children. I'm moving to Oxford to study development economics and public policy, and hope that one day I can work for an aid organisation.

I'm a keen traveller and have been to lots of countries in South-East Asia, Africa, North America and Europe. I like a mixture of travelling with friends and also by myself, because I like meeting new people when I travel and immersing myself in the local culture.

I'm a fun and relaxed guy who is happy to go out and meet new people, but am also a fan of having a chat about life over a few quiet beers. I'm also clean and excellent at washing dishes, and promise I'm a great house guest!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My sister has recommended Couchsurfing, which she loved when she was travelling in France and Italy in 2010. She said after couchsurfing it was really hard to go back to hostels, as the experience just wasn't nearly as good as staying with locals.

I'm really excited to meet local people and experience their view of their cities across Europe - whether this is by staying on someone's couch or just by catching up with you for a beer or two.

I don't have many references while I'm starting out, but am excited to start meeting people in the Couchsurfing community and go on from there!
