Overview
About Me
I am an agnostic intellectual from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, USA. I love a good laugh and getting to know wonderful, interesting people from all over the world. If you want to know more about me, I am an open book, so feel free to contact me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always dreamed of hitchhiking or biking across the country to get to know people from many different walks of life, and until recently it felt like a passing wish that was never going to happen. Now, things are falling into place and I will soon be stepping out of my house for a whole month and experiencing life to its fullest.
Interests
I enjoy reading and writing both philosophy and fiction. Other interests include Ultimate Frisbee, interfaith dialogue, watching movies/TV shows, cooking, card/board games, biking, hiking, playing piano, singing, and making new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music fluctuates anywhere from old country to Christian rock to German pop. The only music I really don't care for is opera or scream-o.
Favorite Books: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Plato's Republic, Man's Search for Meaning (by Frankl), The Hobbit, Eragon, Ender's Game, anything written by Piers Anthony, and Siddhartha
Favorite Movies: The Matrix, Harry Potter, The Incredibles, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, V for Vendetta, The Avengers, Star Wars, and Lion King
Favorite TV shows: Marvel's Agents of Sheild, Marvel's Agent Carter, Friends, Arrow, Avatar: the last airbender, and Leverage
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In a trip to Greece (Jan 2016) I have wandered the streets of Athens at night and visited Delphi--the most beautiful place I have ever been.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can play the piano and sing. I'd love to talk to anyone about philosophy or the big questions in life. I may not have the answers, but I like to explore possibilities.
From you all I would love to hear your stories. Where you came from, how you got to where you are and where you dream of going one day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories of my limited travel and of the people I have met, but I can also share intellectual discussion on philosophy, religion, or society in general (among other things).
