Overview
About Me
I live in Seattle, Washington where I'm loving the sunny skies! I currently work full-time as a software engineer, and my hobbies include cooking, baking, card games, hiking, and music.
I've played the piano since age 5 and now I mostly play for fun. I do mostly classical and some jazz, and I also have a degree in music composition from the University of Michigan.
Give me a glass of red wine and laugh at my bad puns and I'll be happy enough. I want to meet different people, have great experiences, learn new things every day, and generally let life unfold. You never know what lies around the next bend!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is the most fun when you have personal experiences, and that means interacting with authentic people everywhere you go! I want to use couchsurfing to meet people from around the world.
I've had great experiences as a guest so far while traveling and I'm looking forward to hosting when I settle back in Seattle!
Interests
Classical music (see above). I also love musicals and I am trying to become an expert on Christmas carols.
I love food; cooking and eating; and I cook meals at home when I can. I'm always up for trying new recipes or wine!
Other interests include urban spaces, public transportation, languages, and keeping up on the tech industry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A really memorable moment was when I hiked to the top of Taylor Peak in Colorado (elev. 13,158 ft.) and then looked down.
Teach, Learn, Share
Please help me practice my German!
We can also share recipes. My friends rave about my macaroni and cheese, hot chocolate, and caesar salad (especially the croutons).
I live for music, and I'm always down to jam. I'm happy to teach/learn about computer programming, building circuits, math, music theory, or anything else!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My idea of a nice stay is to sit around with some tea or wine and just talk about life. I'll help you cook and do the dishes too. If you have a piano, you'll also get free music!
I'm a friendly guy, low-maintenance, clean, and responsible when it comes to personal spaces.
