About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life to the fullest and look to the future with eyes wide open.
I'm traveling with my girlfriend along the west coast for a couple of weeks. We are looking for new friends to show us around and immerse us in a different culture!

PHILOSOPHY

It's like the t-shirt says. Love what you do; do what you love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have never surfed using CS but I have hosted many a traveler with an old friend. I have recently relocated and have my own space to contribute! I really like hosting and I'm eager to get on the road again to surf around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

visited 20 states (40%)Create your own visited map of The United States or jurisdische veraling duits?

Interests

Life is an adventure, so I try to do as many things as I can. I love to camp (especially with a hammock), rock climb in the gorgeous Arkansas ozarks, cycling on a mountain or down city streets, going to a music venue full of music lovers to see a show, having drinks with friends and reading the occasional book.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to type in.... I would get carpal tunnel.
But, I'll give a sampling:
Movies - Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel movies (not a huge fan of DC) Girl with the Dragon Tatto (the Swedish version is the best) Bourne trilogy, Inception, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Office Space, Grandma's Boy, Half Baked, 500 Days of Summer, anything Jimmy Stewart was in (favorite is Rear Window), most Bond movies (Sean Connery and Daniel Craig). Anything produced or directed by Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino (two of my favorite directors).
Music - Local Natives, Foals, Menomena, Young the Giant, Tuneyards, Sylvan Esso, Chili Peppers, Mumford and Sons, Maps and Atlases, Bombay Bicycle Club, Cadillac Jackson, Spoon, Future Islands, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Weezer, White Stripes, 30 Seconds to Mars, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Santigold, M.I.A., RADIOHEAD!!!!, Thom Yorke, Derek Trucks Band, Dave Matthews Band, Caribou, Trentemoller, Bob Marley, BEATLES!!!!, Incubus, Blink 182,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Grand Canyon comes to mind. That place was awesome!
When I was in Germany, I got the chance to see Neuschwanstein castle.
Lastly, Scuba Diving along a reef in Cancun, Mexico takes the cake. It was definately a "WOW" moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know much but I can teach you how to play a couple of instruments, how to repair an airgun or firearm (mostly airguns), mix a cocktail, rock climb, or a little bit of German.
For me, I consider travel one of my passions in life. I've learned more talking with people from other areas of the U.S. and all over the world than in any classroom. I feel that experiencing life is worth much more than doing something like reading a book or going to a class. That's just me though.... Because I'm not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share my life experience (what little I have), connect with my host through good conversation and

Countries I’ve Visited
