I am a college student in the Pacific Northwest USA. I love seeing and experiencing just about anything new. I am very interested in other people's opinion and perspective, and I always want to hear what they have to say. I am a very low maintenance person and pretty adaptable to just about any environment/situation. I enjoy playing guitar as well as participating in competeive sports such as lacrosse and golf. I am an aspiring sports radio personality pursuing a career in play-by-play broadcasting. I am a current student at Washington State University; Go Cougs!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To travel and create memories! I heard about it through a friend and sounded like an amazing principle and I had to check it out. Traveling on a budget and creating relationships/connections with locals? What is not to like.
Music, Movies, and Books
Diverse love for music; from Mike Posner and John Mayer to Toby Keith, I'll listen to just about anything. I like songs that tell a story! Movies: Forrest Gump, Good Will Hunting, Arrival, Jack Reacher and Mission Impossible 3. Books: Freakanomics, Blink, Bowling Alone and Ball Four. I mostly read non-fiction. If I read a book, I want to learn something from it.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
My sophomore year of college, I noticed any local media outlets - mostly online - were in poor personal standing with Washington State University athletics. As a journalism student and aspiring sportscaster, I created my own website and networked myself into the schools athletic department to within weeks becoming an official credential media member. I have since build up a readership of 20,000, sold advertising on the website, employed three people under me (a photogrpaher and two writers), created a legitimate social media presence, and earned a public endorsement from WSU head coach Mike Leach over twitter.
Teach, Learn, Share
I read "Moments of Being" by Virginia Woolf when I was 16. The concept absorbed me. I began an attempt to identify moments of being within my own life. I realized that I had not had many. Since then, I have tried to base my life around genuine connection and time well spent. I aim to maximize my own personal moments of being; that is how I attempt to live my life every day.
