About Me
Hello! My name's Andrew and I just moved to New York City from San Francisco in June. I've used Couchsurfing in Argentina, Uruguay, Prague, Budapest, Israel, Poland, Vienna, Seattle, LA, and a few other places so now I'm excited to return the favor.
I have a consulting company that works with startups in NYC, LA, and SF so I travel a lot, but would be happy to host if I'm in the city. My couch is very comfortable and I live in SoHo which has a lot of great bars, restaurants, and nice shopping!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met some amazing people through Couchsurfing and I think to do Couchsurfing you have to get out of your comfort zone which is something I'm always striving to do.
Interests
Im extremely interested in learning a new language. My current mission is Spanish, but in the future I would love to learn Portuguese, French, and German. I also really enjoy reading and going on adventures (spontaneous road trips, music festivals with my friends, nature hikes)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anderson .Paak, Rufus du Sol, Zhu, Bonobo, Flume, Chet Faker, GoldLink, Soulection, etc. etc.
Books: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, On the Road, The Four Hour Work Week, Alchemist, everything by Candice Millard
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Teaching English to Thai kids in the mountains, just north of Chiang Mai. The people I met were the nicest, most beautiful people I could have ever run into. It changed my outlook on life and money, and I realized that money does not buy happiness. It was a great time in my life.
I also went on a 3 week road trip from Montevideo, Uruguay up to the north of Argentina with 3 people I met via Couchsurfing. We drove in a 1970's Toyota SUV that broke down almost every day and we Couchsurfed the entire journey.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that I can learn something from every person in this world since each person has something unique that they enjoy doing. I guess its just finding out what that unique quality is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A couch, good recs for places to eat / drink in my neighborhood, and travel stories.
