About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see the world and experience everything I can.

ABOUT ME

I've been doing the student life for massage therapy for over the last year in Hawaii. Ive finally gotten some off time now so im back on the road doing what i love most- Travel. I'm a really active person and thrive on social interactions around the world. I love culture, new places, and learning. I love the outdoors, hiking, swimming, ukulele, juggling, surfing, dancing, teaching, learning, conversation, skating, snokeling. All of it!
PHILOSOPHY

Don't limit yourself. Go as far as your mind lets you. Dream! Do not fear leaving your comfort zone. Comfort kills ideas, opportunities, growth and action. Take risks, be uncomfortable - dwell in the infinite. It can always get better! We are only guaranteed this moment ...Grab on to life while the sun is shinning.

Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself,
and know that everything in life has purpose.
There are no mistakes, no coincidences,
all events are blessings given to us to learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm terrible about being on the computer and using electronics. So, my first few years of couch surfing have been very uninvolved. I've surfed in a few different countries and several states in the US. Also, I've hosted surfers and other surfers have hosted me, just not through the website (from running into another couch surfer unplanned). Now that I have been traveling and using the website more, I'm really trying to make the effort to get online and stay updated. My couch has been unsurfable for the last few years due to travel and school. I finally have a stable place and some free time, im just not in Maui at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every couch surfing experience I've had has been completely different and unique. Some nights out are partying, having a great time. Some days i've rushed across town getting a 30 min tour of a city before a bus! Other experiences have been as calm as a night of conversation trying our best to understand each other's different languages. Floors, mats, couches, and beds. Entire rooms even! Each stay or visit all had one thing in common- the people were Amazing! Each and every surfer Ive met were awesome people in their own way.

Interests

Since I was 18, all I have wanted to do is travel. From there, I learned that I really like hiking and camping. NATURE! I love the outdoors. I consider myself a minimalist on the trail and enjoy grounding out for weeks if not months at a time in the woods. All I need to a place for my tent(if that) and I'm happy. I usually have trouble in a city where there is no grass or trees. It helps a lot having people that know the area. Im always trying to learn more on my ukulele. I mostly work in construction/carpentry for a living so I have picked up a interest in building design, architecture , antique homes and restoration. I Love making something 120 years old look like new. I spear fish where i live and love growing what ever food I can with the room i have. Sustainability is a huge factor in my life. Now that i practice massage, ive been doing smaller continued education courses when i can. I also really enjoy flow such as juggling and poi. Teaching juggling has been one of my favorite ways to interact with people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really ever watch TV but if you ever see me quiet and interested, a good informational documentary will always do the trick. I like the history channel and travel channel if I am ever forced to watch the tube. Same with books, when I read I can only do nonfiction, usually. I love ALL music- especially anything acoustic like violin and guitar. If i can move to it, its okay with me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There has been so many amazing and indescribable things that have happen in just the last few years. Burning man is a good highlighted memory to throw out there. Since then, travels to South America have been life changing. Each time i set out in to the wild something profound usually happens... Teaching myself to spear fish has been a game changer as well (many skills were obtained in learning this)

Teach, Learn, Share

There is no abuse like self abuse. You pick your poison. I love what i do and i try to share this feeling everywhere i go.
