About Me

My passion, as of late, is localizing sustainable food systems. I manage a unique farmers market and do some coordinating for a nonprofit. I am a freelance map maker and a videographer.

I find beauty in the small things, but love to grapple with the big questions

I have a degree in Environmental and Spatial Analysis with a concentration of Environmental Studies, a GIS certificate (maps and stuff)

I would love to build a home in the woods. Raise a family, grow food, and invest in a sense of true community

I have hopped around the US; living on the east coast, west coast, the midwest and Alaska , and love the opportunity to travel by road slowly through most every state. I like to taste the city, but dwell in nature.

I love Latin America culture and spent six months south of the border through Mexico, Central, and South America. Short stint in Thailand and Laos.

I am sometimes overwhelmed by how much there is to learn, but mostly enjoy the process.

I find myself recharging when I sit still and pay attention to all the small systems that have already been put into motion without our help.

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to be more curious in what another person claims as truth rather than claiming something absolute for myself. But there always seem to be grey areas,
and that's okay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

give a little here, accept a little there. I have a tendency to be transient.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met many like-minded, add-to-society-rather-than-detract kind of people. Trust is amazing when not taken advantage of.

I look forward to seeing what you think is amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a huge passion for learning and sharing about food preparation and sustainable practices... though it seems impractical to try and revert our society as a whole back to primitive living, I try to make choices that lighten our impact and make sense for the future. Health, community, economy through the lens of FOOD.
