About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see, learn, explore and experience this life to the fullest.
ABOUT ME
I am a Portuguese American who loves to travel and meet new people. I'm open minded and I'm always open to new points of view as well as enriching and fulfilling life experiences. I'm fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and enjoy learning new languages. Currently I am living in South Korea teaching English and I plan on continuing traveling to other countries to live and teach English. I love reading, watching movies, playing video games and listening to music. I also enjoy singing and drinking.
PHILOSOPHY
This life is all about making meaningful connections with people and having enriching experiences that consistently challenge our thoughts and perceptions of our world. It's about learning, growing, sharing and challenging ourselves and each other. Putting out good karma and good vibes and having them come back to you in turn. If you do good, you get good back and if your heart and mind are open to new experiences then the world is your playground to explore and the great journey of life becomes an adventure that is more than worth the trouble to embark upon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't had the pleasure of hosting any couchsurfers yet, but I've done some couchsurfing myself and had some great experiences with it. More on those below.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done some couchsurfing in Osaka, Japan and also in Busan and Seoul South Korea. All of my experiences with my hosts and every aspect of couchsurfing have been extremely positive, and I really enjoyed them. I also experienced couch surfing indirectly through a friend from back home who hosted a couch surfer for almost a full month, and that was likewise a really good experience for everyone involved.
Interests
Meeting interesting people, journeying to interesting places, learning new languages, music, movies, video games, books and singing. I love Japanese RPGs and Anime. I love the Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring's series of books. I'm a huge Star Wars fan (original trilogy). My favorite band is The Beatles but I love a huge variety of music.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Original Star Wars trilogy, The Lord of the Rings books and movies, The Harry Potter books, Chariots of the Gods, South Park, I also love documentaries. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Elton John, Pierce the Veil, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Thursday, Placebo, 311, Sublime, Incubus, Coheed and Cambria, and many many many more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Japan's sacred Mount Fuji at night and watched the sunrise from the top. One of the most challenging, yet rewarding and awe inspiring things I've ever done. I also obtained my black belt in Taekwondo while living in Korea. Beyond that, though I know it may not be particularly amazing to people who travel frequently or who have lived abroad, moving to Korea to live and teach was probably the most amazing thing I ever did for myself. I grew and learned so much as a person as a result of living out of the United States for a few years, and the whole experience, the good and the bad, was utterly amazing to me.
