About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people

ABOUT ME

I am a firm believer in the saying "variety is the spice of life"; with this in mind I will give any new experience a go, even if it is just the one time.

In 2014/15 I quit my job and took a long trip around the world, which was honestly the best thing I've ever done. One of the best aspects of the trip was meeting such a variety of people with differing views on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While travelling I have attended a couple of CS events and have surfed with many wonderful people. Since returning home I have started hosting travellers. It has been fantastic to meet some new people and return the favour to all of those who were kind enough to host me.

PLEASE NOTE: I accept emergency CS requests when I can. If you know you are coming to the area and will be needing a host, I would prefer a couple of days notice.

Interests

I have a lot of interests but don't pursue all of them on a regular basis. They include:

Mountain biking, hiking, gymnastics, motorcycling, kite surfing/surfing, snow skiing, MMA, floorball and scuba diving. I am also currently learning how to rock climb and dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock when I'm feeling excitable, easier listening like Ed Sheeran or Jonathan Sigsworth when I want to relax.

Books: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hector and the search for happiness, A brief history of nearly everything, Mathew Reilly books and the Game of Thrones series.

Movies: Inception, Interstellar, Deja Vu, Star Trek, Act of Valor, Suckerpunch, 300, anything by Guy Ritchie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saving a man's life in Iran using CPR.

Teach, Learn, Share

Traralgon is not much of a travelling destination, but it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and bushland for outdoor activities and is also close to the ocean. I can offer CSers a place to rest or to find some adventure, as well as a chance to experience a taste of Australian life.

If you are just looking for a place to rest and are not so interested in hanging out, that's totally fine as well (I've been in those situations myself). Just let me know.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
