About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Swap stories, make friends, experience the U.S.

ABOUT ME

I've laid the past few months aside to explore the states and experience them for myself. I enjoy story telling and stumbling upon stories worth telling.

I'm an aspiring teacher. I feel all in all, I'm relatively inexperienced in the ways of the world. Through traveling, I hope I can learn more about myself and this country I call home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thus far my experience with Couch Surfing is limited... I've staid with one lovely couple in Sand Point Idaho and met a great friend through this network in Bellingham.

From now until Labor day, I hope to travel down the West Coast, up the Colorado river, and make it back to my home in Washington D.C. in time for the summer swim season where I'll be returning for my 3rd season as head coach of a neighborhood team

While my experience on Couchsurfing is limited, I've volunteered with 5 families through the Help Exchange network - all of which were great experiences.

Interests

A good cup of coffee, lazy mornings, long walks, and stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's not enough time to read all the books, see all the films, and listen to all the songs that I'd like to... but here's what I've been enjoying as of late:

Books: Wind Up Girl by Paulo Bacigalupi, Aimless Love by Billy Collins, and Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie

Music: Absent Fathers by Justin Towns Earle, Uptown Special by Marc Ronson, Live at the Flamingo Hotel by Dr. Dog

Movies: I've been slacking lately... I saw the tail end of Nebraska and definitely want to make time to watch it in full.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've made it this far :)

Teach, Learn, Share

If you have any interest in learning how to swim I'm your man. Moving around in the water is the only thing I can confidently say I have any kind of authority in.

Everything else I'm more than willing to what little experience I may have. I'm always eager to learn about anything and everything

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open attitude and eagerness to share my time.
