About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We're about to quit our jobs and pack up our lives to go on a South American adventure over 6 months starting in February 2015
ABOUT ME
Honest, kind hearted, fun, sociable - we've been told we're a great couple to be around. Genuinely interested in others and love engaging in conversation, learning all we can about people and planet and everything in between. We especially enjoy examining our lives and our own impact on the world and discussing ideas to make the world a better place. We enjoy a good philosophical debate on any subject as well as laughing at ourselves and making light of life!
PHILOSOPHY
We are both peaceful veggies who want to minimise our negative impact on the earth and are learning more and more about how to live positively through low carbon living, growing our own food etc. We both want to leave the world a better place than we found it and hopefully inspire others to do the same!
Interests
Originally from Manchester, we're currently in Cambodia and have been travelling around Asia for 11 months having the time of our lives; trying new things - scuba diving in Indonesia, motorbiking around Vietnam, partying in Thailand, trekking in Nepal and visiting NGOs making an impact in Cambodia.
Back in Manchester we worked hard, both enjoyed our jobs in Naval Architecture (Andy) and Social Welfare & Inclusion programs (Cassie), and enjoyed partying at the weekends. Our house was a social hub, all of our friends were at our house, eating together, laughing, having good times, discussing topics on science, nature environment, welfare, global warming, poverty, social inequality, music, books - EVERYTHING! We love the city life but we also really enjoy escaping to the countryside for hiking and the rural charm.

Music, Movies, and Books
We watch a lot of documentaries, some favourites include Inside Job, Breaking the Taboo, When A Tree Falls: Story of the Earth Liberation Front, The Coconut Revolution, The Imposter.
Fave Movies: Anything by Tarrantino, Sin City, Dead Mans Shoes, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spirited Away... too many!
Books: A Fine Balance, The Perfume, Shantaram, The Kite Runner... (we've been keeping a log of all the books we've read since travelling with a score out of 10 - geeks!)
Music: Electronic Dance Music, Folk & Indie / Rock, Electro Swing (big Parov Stella fans!), Chromeo, Breaks, DnB... broad tastes and always on the lookout for new music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving in Indonesia has been an amazing experience: Overcoming fears of the sea and coming face to face with sharks, 4m manta rays, turtles, thousands of tropical fish was like stepping into another world. Our favourite sea encounter was with a colour changing octopus in Komodo national park - fascinating, beautiful creatures!
