CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to explore the coast, meet new friends, and write my second novel.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the country with parents who instilled me with morals and manners. I love both nature and the city and need a healthy mix. I moved to LA about 10 years ago. I was building a career when I was in an accident and then suffered a brain injury. Despite Dr's telling me I may never walk, talk, or read again I was determined. Just over 4 years later I'm not only back to normal functioning neurologically speaking, but I've also written a novel amongst other things. I'm currently working on my second one.

I went broke and lost everything during my injury/recovery except for my courage, faith in life, and undying need to create and inspire. I realized how little one needs if he has the knack of attracting good people and making the best of what he has. Fortunately, I have that knack.

PHILOSOPHY

Know who you are. Own who you are. Shoot for the stars and never stop dreaming! Live, love, learn, repeat. And don't forget to smile!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people and sharing in new cultures and experiences. I love really LIVING life. I am just learning to "surf" but have already had a great experience and I'm hooked on this social community of travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I worked in TV and Film in Hollywood for 10 years. I am currently working on my second novel. I am a huge fan of live music and I also play myself. From Rock to Blues to Jazz.. Some of my favorite authors are Jack Kerouac, Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis. A few of my favorite movies are Crash, American Beauty, Fight Club, The Notebook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode on an ATV along with a pack of running wild horses in Mexico just before witnessing baby sea turtles crawl out of the sand for the first time this past year.

I helped shoot a documentary in El Salvador about kids who are forced into gangs.

I helped build a compound with a school and clinic in Haiti.
