ABOUT ME

I am Andrew Young. Originally from West Texas, moved to Las, Vegas in September 2015. I graduated with a degree in Theatre Performance from WTAMU in Canyon, TX. I love writing, drawing, playing pool, laughing, exchanging ideas, staying up late until the twilight hours of the morning discussing the mysteries of the universe. I love traveling, dancing, singing, learning about new cultures, photography, music, and food. I am an aspiring playwright, actor, and director. My zodiac sign is Gemini. I love meeting people and firmly believe that every person in the world can influence your life in some way. I look forward to meeting you.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind and good fortunes will find you.
I am nonreligious, stemming from a southern Baptists upbringing. I take life lessons to heart from the Bible but choose not to believe in a spiritual deity who rules over the population. Instead, I find honesty, kindness, good deeds, hard work, and passion for what you believe to be right, more spiritually appeasing than any religion I've found.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to Host if I am available. I have only surfed once, but it was an incredible experience. I was about to be homeless moving to Vegas, and at the last minute Stacy allowed me and my roommate to stay with him for 5 days until we got our apartment. He has since been a great friend here in Vegas. I would love to travel the world more so if you have a couch I would love to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had a couch surfing experience yet but I am excited about this new endeavor.

Interests

I mainly spend my free time working on theatre. If I am not involved in a show I like to spend my time writing, drawing, singing. I am currently in the process of writing a Musical. I love learning new things, yet there is never enough time to learn it all. Netflix is a weakness of mine, I love compelling television. If the show is good, I will probably binge watch it within a week. I love all kinds of music. If the music can evoke an emotion out of you then I will listen to it. It doesn't matter what emotion you feel. Music is art, and should be felt the same way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done is performed a Musical outdoors in the pouring Rain, The feeling of giving everything you have as a performer in a moment that is so freeing and you feel as though everything is being refreshed. It is quite an experience and one I will never forget.
One amazing thing I have seen is while I was in Hong Kong I saw a protest against the communist party. The streets were flooded with thousands of individuals demanding freedom from their rulers. To actually see a revolt against a government first hand was a life changing experience. We have to fight for what we want or what we believe is right.
I have also been able to see every Presidential Nominee speak in person this Election cycle, and go to the Democratic Debate in October 2015.

I have many things to offer other people because of my life experiences. I am excited for the opportunity to teach, learn and share with other couch surfers.
