I'm a film maker from Kiev, Ukraine. I like two things most in life: making videos and traveling.
I Graduated from the Institute by profession Film director. During my career I shot a lot of videos. Among them are short films, documentaries, music videos, advertisements, promotional videos, and more. I work more often as a director, but sometimes as a cameraman. I have participated with my work in many film festivals.
I lead an active lifestyle. I tried a lot of different sports. I ride a wakeboard, snowboard, water ski and mountain skiing. I was engaged in diving, freediving, jumping on a trampoline, but my favorite sport is surfing. Surfing is truly a sport of kings.
I love to go hiking. In my childhood I went to the scout camp many times.
Being open to everything new is one of my main rules.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In couchserfing i am beginner, but i`m excited about it. Coachsurfing is a great community of amazing people open to the world. I am here because I want to be part of this community. I am here because I want to be a traveler and not a tourist. I want to meet interesting people, visit amazing places and just get to know this world better and better.
With joy I will be the host, and with joy I will be the guest.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big lover of short stories. I read a lot of works by Chekhov, Kuprin and O Henry. In addition, I love fantasy and adventure literature.
I love indie music and rock. I love listening to the guitar sitting near the campfire. I can play the guitar a little.
But the movie is a separate part of my life. I am a cinephil. I watched a huge number of films, I understand them perfectly. I can advise the film for every taste. But most of all I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed Europe 3 times by car.
I traveled on a yacht near the island of Fiji and Vanuatu.
My short film participated in the Cannes Film Festival.
I dived to a depth of 40 meters in one breath.
I swam with sharks.
I jumped with a bungee.
I was doing freeride on untouched snow.
I survived a typhoon on a desert island.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give my guests an excellent tour of Kiev. I can show not only the main tourist attractions but also many cool little-known places. I photograph well, so my guests will not be left without photographs.
I will be happy to speak with native speakers and thereby improve my English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I travel with a camera and a small quadcopter. I can take pictures, shoot videos, or teach how to use something from these things. I can tell you how to improve your skills in photography and I can tell a lot about video production.
I can tell a lot about movies, and advise the film for every taste.
I can tell a lot about my country, about my beautiful city of Kiev.
I can tell a lot about my adventures, sports and travel.
