About Me

Hi everyone! People call me Andrei. I'm taking an unusual step of being successful couchsurfing member. Now the most important things for me are education and travelling, that gives endless possibilities for self-improvement, but requires profound knowledge in different spheres and all all-round comprehensive development. Being a Belorussian and couchsufing member would be very useful and amazing for me and everybody i meet. I'm sociable, open-minded, easy-going, active person. I'm ready to share my knowledge and experience with my new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to create my account on this good website, because I was motivated to travel by watching traveller's videos and reading inspiration books to have good time, get new knowledges and sensations, make musterious friends, explore new places, get acquainted with new cultures and traditions. As I mentioned above, it will provide me with opportunities to practise English, meet new people, make friends with them.

Interests

I've got a lot of interests.
Bicycling - I've been riding a bike since my childhood. So, I think I'm kinda experienced rider. Got a bikes sold and changed them. Participated in some small local races.. I've done a thousands of kilomentres. Can repair and fix this kind of vehicle almost completely. Have some organizational skills gained as a member of amateur club. Now I'm a member of local fixed gear club.
Computers - Intermediate user in computers. I have a basic knowledges in Adobe PS, Word, Power Point, Excel,ect. I'm good at Windows reinstallation.
Photogaphy - I'm passionate about taking pictures. I've been attending some all-year round photo courses. And this skill helped me to make a night photos, architecture photography, meet new people which share my interests.
Writing - I've got not realy popular weblog dedicated to popularization of Belorussian history. But I stopped posting.

Music, Movies, and Books

In my opinion, I have read a lot of books. My favourite are science fiction and popular science. I think, we should read different science books to get new knowledges in different spheres and improve themselves and become versatile person. For example, when we read science fiction, detective novels or comedy we get get acquainted with plot, characters, happy ending. Many famous world's novels and stories contain a hidden philosophical meaning, which undoubtedly will be useful for us. In conclusion, I can say no matter genre no matter quantity of it , books are very neccessary and important for humanity in moder situation.

George Clason.The Richest Man in Babylon - can tell you good financial advices.
Brian Tracy. Moving Out Of Your Comfort Zone - can help you with time organization and prevent wasting it.
Alexander Nikonov. Upgrade monkey. Big story of a little singularity.
Jules Verne. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea - one of the first science fiction books tell about incredible submarine vouage around the world
George Orwell. Animal Farm.
Dmitry Glukhovsky. Metro 2033 - post apocalyptic science fiction novel set in the Moscow metro where there a lot of people hidden after nuclear war.
John Kehoe. The subconscious mind can do anything - really perfect book for motivation and self-development
Masaru Ibuka. Kindergarten is Too Late - the author outlines an innovative approach to child raising and character formation in infancy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I carry out the post of commander of the third division of our group. Twice we had a lesson at the landfill, where we were simulated fighting: looking for enemy fire, creating plan for the offensive, firing with blank catridges,using machine guns, rifles, crawling on the ground. As to me, It was good life lesson gave me a lot of useful skills and experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach my friends Belorussian, Russian languages, and treat them to our tasty national dishes which I can cook very well.
It's possible to show you all the town, where there are lot of tourist attractions: famous historical places, historical buildings, cafes, parks, and other leisure time places to see and do.
