Hi everyone!

I am 20 years old student from Sheffield. I moved here 2 years ago to study and I am from Moscow originally. The biggest passion of my life is travelling - I've been to more than 25 European countries and don't plan to stop! I prefer to travel alone but I love meeting people during my journeys. I am a very friendly and open-minded and person and enjoy talking to people from different countries. I have many interesting and funny stories to tell, so if you host me - it won't be boring :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join Couchsurfing to meet people in the places I'm travelling to. It is always nice to have someone to show you the city, party, or just have a quick chat. Also, I will be happy to accommodate you in a friendly student house if you decide to come to Sheffield :)

Interests

I enjoy cycling and have cycled across many European countries, including Spain, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, Montenegro and other.
Also, hiking is my passion; I have walked the magnificent Camino de Santiago in Spain and it was a life-changing experience.
I plan to try hitchhiking in April, completing a 12-days long charity trip to Eastern Europe from Sheffield together with my University mates.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different types of music - from cheesy pop to some real hard core stuff. My favorite band is Enter Shikari, sometimes I even travel to different countries to see them live :)

I enjoy reading and discussing books. I love classic Russian literature and would love to share my opinion with you if you also enjoy it. Also, I love Terry Pratchett's "Disc World" series, books by Gerald Darrell, James Harriet, and many many other great authors. Recently I started reading Haruki Murakami and really enjoyed it.

My favorite film director is Quentin Tarantino and my favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. Also, I prefer to watch classic movies from 1970's to 1990's but don't mind watching recent stuff if the reviews are good. My favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio and I love all his movies apart from Titanic :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am really proud of myself for completing Camino de Santiago twice - once by bicycle and once by foot. I am planning to walk for the third time next summer, so if you are interested in it, send me a message and maybe you'll be my next travel buddy :)

I would love to share my travelling experience with everyone and would be happy to listen to your stories. Also, I am a great companion when it comes to drinking and partying :)

If you agree to accommodate me, I will be happy to bring you gifts from the UK or Russia, spend time with you, go party or just stay at home and have a nice conversation. Also, I like cooking and can cook you some traditional Russian food.
