About Me

The day my parents laied down together almost nine months before I was born was just a detail. My history began much earlier and it was being made in every single step and choice my grandparents took. The reasoning can go further back in a forgotten point of the past. Although it's not really possible to find the right point when everything started, it's a marvelous exercise to wonder about that. This reasoning build my identity and gives me a feeling of been conected with human beings in general. Sharing a cultural background with the people from my region, my country or even by contrast with people from a completely diferent places, just help me to find out who I am and what I'm doing here. That's why I walk. And as I walk, I learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about CouchSurfing in some Hostel I've been. Althought I avoid travelling as a tourist, it's a brilliant ideia to share the house, the ideas, the ways of life and thoughts when I have to go somewhere else or when I have the pleasure to host someone. And the great thing is that when you receive someone that you've never met before, just for the pleasure of hosting, you meet people for all your life. We know inside, that there is someone, somewhere excited to help you. People, man!!! people!!!

Interests

I'm interested in all left wings traditions. From comunism, to freeganism; from social movements to organized political parties; from anarchists to organic producers, everypeople that try to build a different world get my attention.

I can also say that I'm like the ogre from the enchanted forest. Everywhere it can smell human flesh, interests me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just don't like pop and mainstream culture. Art means creativity and expression of human soul. So, I can't respect any kind of music, movies or books that treats people like a bunch of cows or that create a standart thought or behavior. Except for this, movies, music and books are good anytime, anywhere. I'll write the last things I've heard, watched and read:
Movie: Chungking Express - Wong Kar-wai
Music: Orquestra de Cordas dedilhadas de Pernambuco
Book: Marighella - O Guerrilheiro que incendiou o mundo - Mário Magalhães

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took my uncle Antônio to the beach for the first time in his life when he was 53 years old ("Damn! What a great river!" was the first thing he said in front of the sea). Me and a friend rescued a man that wanted to suicide in the subway in São Paulo. I spent two months in a hospital without eating anything because of a skateboarding accident.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach a lil' bit of Kung Fu, Capoeira, Photography, Geography, History, Cooking, how to drink a beer (I think a lot of people know how to do that, ahn?! But I thought this was a place to write I like beers), Portuguese language... but I also could share all the things I don't know how to do properly, but I do. And I'm really interested in permaculture and organic farming, so every knoledge related to that is welkomed and I'm keen to learn.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Cuba, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
