Hi! I'm Andrii. If you are looking for boring facts about me like my job and education, this will be below, but first things first I want to share something about my real personality.

Probably, to give you an idea of who I really am, I will start with things, which really makes me happy

PEOPLE WITH THE SIMILAR VIBE
When I feel that person has a similar mindset, humor, when we laugh from some stupid things and can understand each other’s life experience, ups and downs, that is exactly the one of the things which makes me happier. the world becomes more fascinating and thrilling, I feel myself real and overwhelmed with life energy. I love this feeling, and that’s the reason why I’m always open to the new people in my life. Unfortunately, sometimes I may be really shy to make a first step, but I’m always trying t find or create situation, when I can easily get acquaintance with new people, in this regard couchsurfing is really great option for me)

MUSIC
Listening to music, especially in headphones - this is a different world for me. That’s the really good way to connect myself with me (sounds strange but hope that you got it ahah) I’m trying to find a song, which can reflect my emotional and mental state or what surrounds me. For example, when I turn on moody (kinda sad) music, I may detect that I really feel blue, or vice versa, I understand that I want to change the vibe of the music to very lively and bright like the sunny weather outside (what’s really seldom in Germany ahah) and that will highlight, that I’m in a good mood today. I feel it all over my body and sometimes it hits me like a drug… literally. So when I listen to music, my body starts to move in a rhythm, and I start to dance. Yes, that’s the next thing, which gives me a lot of life energy - DANCING. P.s. I think it was a perfect transition to the next hobby)) So, I’m not professional, but step by step I’m learning, mostly hip hop, at the dance school in Cologne. Also I like contemporary, afro and dancehall, but I visit seldom lessons with these styles. Dancing almost never makes me tired, viceversa - that gives me more stamina and increases my mood. So clubbing till the morning - it’s also my thing (especially techno)

That was my main hobbies; communicating with people, listening to music and dancing… yes, forgot to mention that I’m just in love with coffee. So as we can see, the best thing which can happen to me it’s after a cup of coffee dancing with my friends to good music (my heart won’t say thank you for that) Also i enjoy cooking together, I’m really interested into Psychology, that’s really amazing to understand why people do certain things and how our brain works. I do meditations and journaling and played piano and synthesizer but unfortunately I don’t have it here

So now we can go to the boring facts:

I’m 20 and I’m gay, from Ukraine, from a city called Kharkiv, now I live in Germany, in Cologne. I came here 1 year ago because of the war, and trying to build a completely new life. I was a math tutor in Ukraine and was studying IT in University, but at some point I released, that this is not my thing at all, so now I'm trying myself in marketing. I make an internship in web-agency Effectem as a marketing manager and probably will study marketing as a subject in a German university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always had a desire to travel a lot. This is an incredible feeling to dive into the culture of another country and absorb it. Understand their daily routine, way of communication, what makes them happy, sad, how the language sounds, how they spend time at the evening dinner and what they talk about in the kitchen in the middle of the night. I think all together, these small details can show what makes this country very different from others. I was always thrilled about it. But every time I wanted to travel, I had stumbling blocks: no one of my friends could travel with me, I didn't have enough money, I had a lot of work to do. And at some point I got sick of it and realized: if I really want to travel - I will do it in any way. And I really want to travel, meet new people and live my best life!

I also don’t want to visit a country like a regular tourist who just takes photos of the main attractions and sightseeings and eats in mcdonalds ahah, I really would like to go deeper and be as much close to the culture as I can. I want to feel, listen, see, taste and smell it.

So that’s why I’m here. And actually this is the perfect option for me. Cos I can take a look at the inner life, get good travel tips from locals and leave my social bubble, making new acquaintances with different people)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make small marketing analysis for your B2C business/organization or for its social media if you need it. I will put a piece of Cologne in my backpack and bring it to you (for example classic beer or small souvenir). I can teach you Ukrainian and tell you something about my country and people. I also love to have deep conversations about life, psychology and other interesting and wide things. I can share a looot of my thoughts about it. If you want I can teach you a small hip hop or afro dance.

And of course I will be helping with cleaning and cooking
