Overview
About Me
Currently, I am a student living in London and studying sociology and languages. I am interested in how language shapes the way we think and how people constantly miscommunicate on an everyday basis. It largely explains why I enjoy finding myself in unusual cultural settings and CS offers such possibility. I enjoy cycling with my road bike and I don't think that any other mode of transport can make you as happy as simply riding a bike. Also, like most people, food is the thing I enjoy eating and I can prepare a thing or two.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting with locals is probably the best way to feel and indulge in the culture. Travel guides and traditional tourist attractions are rather limited and I think that CS offers a more authentic and unique travelling experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise, my taste differs depending on my mood. I would listen to ambient, hip-hop or jazz if I want to relax and I'd listen to techno or punk to pump myself up. I don't have a specific music genre, which I'd always listen to, and I consider myself to be open-minded when it comes to music. However, there are certain genres, which I am not a big fan of, such as heavy metal or country.
Talking about films, I enjoy watching classics, such as Godard or Pasolini, but from more modern directors my favourite is Jim Jarmusch.
Literature allows you to put yourself in somebody else's shoes and I try to read as much of it as I can. Russian literature, like Limonov or Dostoyevsky, appeals to me and the novel I'm reading right now, K. Ishiguro 'Klara and the Sun' is great.
