About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To figure out what my mission is

ABOUT ME

I'm a little off-beat, pretty easy-going, and very curious. Tell me everything about everything!

I haven't travelled very much, but I hope to change that. I'm about to take Fashion Design in New York City (this September), and just finished traveling around Europe for 40 days.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a fan of trying new things. I believe Oscar Wilde said that the only things we don't regret are our mistakes; to me, that means we should stop worrying about making them.

As an artist, of course I live for beauty, in all its forms. I believe that beauty can be found in very unexpected places.

Interests

Climbing (have only gone indoor so far), fashion, art, snowboarding, video games, anime, philosophy, fiction, adventures, dancing. I also like to cook, although my repertoire is very limited. I have been told that my souffle is quite good...

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, I like a little bit of everything; classical, hip hop, rock, some metal, electronic, folk, pop, experimental... the list goes on! The music I like the best though, is the kind you can dance to.

Some books I like: Lolita, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, The Gum Thief, Invisible Monsters, Brothers Grimm Fairytales, Freakonomics, Outliers

Movies: Ghost in the Shell, Slumdog Millionaire, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Silence of the Lambs, Pan's Labyrinth, A Tale of Two Sisters (Jangwha, Hongryeon)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once talked to people at a "Living Library" held in my city's public library. People volunteered themselves as living books, and you could "check out" a person for 15 minutes and talk about their topic. I met so many amazing people from different backgrounds. People talked about feminism, being an immigrant, being a muslim, not owning a car in a city where EVERYONE drives, going blind at the age of 20... it was quite enlightening and I wish they could do it more often.

Teach, Learn, Share

Classical Drawing - everyone is secretly an artist.
Random Things - I have a lot of uncategorized information inside my head. Ask me about something and see if I know about it.

I would love to learn languages. All of them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Japan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
