About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make connections all over the world! (One never knows where she will end up.)
ABOUT ME
I'm a Meteorology student spending a semester in Hamburg, Germany. I have only a month left here, but I am hoping to get to a few places before I have to go back home.
This is my first time away from North America, so I am really looking to experience places as thoroughly as I can. It's really important to me that I am able to get a real sense of a city's attitude and culture.
PHILOSOPHY
I suppose it's my duty as a human to respect other people and the planet we live on. It's not within my realm to judge anyone for their beliefs or lifestyle, even though it's sometimes hard not to do when somebody's beliefs encroach upon my own. It's important to try to understand and tolerate others' ideals and cultures if we seek worldwide peace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm still trying to get started with CouchSurfing! Nobody's ever accepted any of my requests. :s
Unfortunately, I'm unable to host in Germany, but would be more than willing to lend my couch once I'm back in the US. But, if you are looking for someone to show you around Hamburg for an afternoon, I would love to be that person!
Interests
I enjoy cooking, eating, photography, concerts, weather, learning languages, fashion, making jewelry, gardens, cycling, skiing, and most of all, meeting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Americana, folk, "indie," twee, jazz, new wave and art/noise rock. My absolute, unwaveringly favorite band is Wilco.
Movies: documentaries, comedies, 1980s teen movies, concert films, and the occasional rom-com (although nothing too dumb or sappy).
I wish I had time to read books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been to a Flaming Lips concert. This was four and a half years ago, and it is still the happiest day of my life! It is most definitely a spiritual experience to be in a crowd of thousands, totally full of people having fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to help people learn to cook. I'm no expert, but it makes me smile to help a friend learn to fry an egg, roll maki-sushi or make lasagna (among other things).
For whatever reason, I don't feel skilled in much else at the moment. I suppose we'll just have to find out what we can share with each other!
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, United States
