About Me

Creative soul who loves experiencing new things. Backpacking through Europe this fall in hopes of making new friends, stepping out of my comfort zone, and gaining a deeper understanding of what I really want out of this life.

Love being goofy just as much as I love getting deep. Hit me with your best jokes over a beer and I'll give you mine!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find travel incredibly inspiring. Couchsurfed a little in Germany when I was in college, now picking it back up in hopes of seeing as much of Europe as I can within my budget. Whether it's breathtaking natural sites or the places where my personal heroes have lived and worked, there's so much out there I want to see. For me, making friends with the locals through Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to really learn about a place.

Interests

Meeting new and exciting people from all around the world, making/listening to music, writing anything creative, enjoying a good film of TV series.

Movies: Pan's Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Clockwork Orange

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled 150 miles from Los Angeles to San Diego, stopping to rock climb and deep-sea fish along the way.

White-water rafted in Sacramento, both on raft and kayak.

Explored the US high and low, from national parks to mega-cities like New York and San Francisco.

Traveled through Europe in 2015, hitting London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Cologne, Munich, and Berlin. Returned for a trip to Paris in 2018 and a trip through Italy in 2022.

Traveled through Mexico and Argentina in 2016.

Stayed in hostels throughout Bali and China in 2019.

Teach, Learn, Share

I absolutely love learning about new cultures, and would love to talk with my hosts about their own personal experiences, both in the area they live and in regards to their travels around the world.

As far as teaching goes, I'd be happy to show anyone a few cool tricks on guitar or piano, if you've got one laying around! I'm also more than happy (flattered, honestly) to share my songs, poems, and stories with anyone who asks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't have much to offer money-wise, but I can definitely provide good company and help my hosts out with anything they might need during my stay. Plus, anyone I stay with is always welcome to stay with me if they're ever in Los Angeles.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, China, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In
