About Me
~~~ Update Apr'24: I moved to Budapest for this year. Looking for hangouts and sometimes hosting too ~~~
Hola! I'm from Argentina and discovered CS while doing an exchange semester in St Gallen, Switzerland in 2018. So later in Buenos Aires I decided to start hosting. Since 2021, I'm back in Europe, permanently settled, working and hosting in Berlin. I've also spent some months in Podgorica and Ljubljana, where I hosted as well. So my host references are a mix of these 4 cities :)
Bicycle tourer, hiker and easy going. Love nature and reading, as well as board games. Eating a lot of argentinian steak - that's the only thing that I miss while living abroad.
I'm quite calm and enjoy having interesting conversations, especially about cultural diversity. With a good topic, we could talk for hours! When not, I'm also a quiet guy. Super careful and silent.
Atheist and liberal, with a mixed religious heritage. I just believe in people.
As a host, I can offer you the couch in the living room. If I'm free, I can also show you around the city. If not, I'd be glad to give you some tips.
If you send me a request, I'd appreciate if you can detail what brings you to the city and why you're texting me. I'm getting multiple requests a day, so I I'm prioritizing those that I believe we'll get along well.
Stereotype spoiler alert: I can't dance tango nor I play football. I do like, however, punctuality and planning.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading and listening to everything, but if I should choose something, would definitely go for works from the late 19th / early 20th century for both. My favourites books are Dostoyevsky's Notes from Underground and Mann's Magic Mountain. But yeah, I also like techno, rock from the '70s and Indie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
• May-Jul 2018, I've done a 3100km solo-bike-tour through Germany. That was amazing! I felt super welcomed and made me realize that I wanted to live here (If you're on Warmshowers, let me know!)
• Jan-Mar 2019, I completed a new bike tour through Patagonia, commuting through the Andes between Argentina and Chile till the End of the World. Those were 3600km in the most awe-inspiring landscapes I've ever seen
• Sep 2022, I hiked with a friend the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Beautiful country, great food and very welcoming people. Definitely recommended for everyone! I wanna go back again and try another route
• Sep 2023, I did a new solo bike tour through Luxemburg, Belgium, the Netherlands and Niedersachsen, riding in total 2000km. I visited lovely places and met multiple incredible hosts along the way (If you're on Vrienden op de Fiets, let me know!)
