Overview
About Me
I've moved around quite a bit in the last few years. I spent 5 months in South America - full of great people and places, a few near death experiences and rather a lot of getting hopelessly lost. I lived in Lagos, Nigeria for three years and recently moved to the UAE.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having lived abroad and travelled around I’ve found the most exciting and rewarding part has often been meeting new people with different backgrounds and values to mine. Whether it’s hitchhiking with strangers across Europe or stumbling into a Peruvian mountain village, you begin to understand the subtle differences and wealth of similarities that tie us all together. It’s life-affirming stuff and you quite often find people are willing to have a beer.
Interests
There’s that satisfying feeling when the sun rises after you’ve been awake all night to get to the bottom of a particularly worthwhile conversation. That’s pretty good.
Music is something I love and spend a great deal of time immersing myself in. Playing it, listening to records, going to concerts etc.
Other than that I enjoy reading, hiking, films, good food.
